  The reception was very welcoming and friendly on arrival.
  We booked in and went to our room, and although the corridor carpet was in need of a little tlc, decor wise it was very clean and a little larger than in other hotels we have stayed in.
  It was a very hot muggy night, we asked room service for a desk fan and some additional pillows and within 20 minutes they arrived at our door!
  (Very impressed!)
  It was good to see that you could order food from the bar menu up until 10pm, and could have certain things from the menu 24hrs a day.
  The food was great and arrived quickly.
  The lounge was very comfortable, with leather chairs and huge settees.
  We will be staying again.

  I had a lovely experience at Blackwell Grange. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding, however the drinks are rather expensive from the bar. The traditional decor of the reception and lounge is not carried throughout the hotel unfortunately. To me it felt like an average hotel and was not as grand as what was implied from descriptions on the website. Nevertheless it was a lovely place to retreat to for the weekend.
